Pattinson back for Notts. Got another wicket. Key showing some grit for a change.
He now has five.

Arafat now joins Key. Kent's batting depth is pretty ridiculous and it will only get stronger when Amjad Khan returns to replace Saggers.

Thinking about it, no-one is guaranteed a place in the side, so if the signing of Kolpaks makes everyone else up their game, then it can only be a good thing.
Perhaps, but do you think that if the Kolpaks had been around, say seven years ago, Trescothick would have been given such a stint during his bad patches? I somehow doubt it, but then you get the argument of whether counties function as a feeder for the England side, or whether they should be competitive entities in their own right..
As for Kieswetter, jury is still out.. I've seen nothing to suggest he's any better than a Foster/Read, but then again Pietersen did sweet FA initially..

Says 7.0 overs on the BBC for Flintoff, they also have a small report on his comeback and don't say anything about him pulling up.

Bond takes four in rapid succession to send Sussex slumping from 317/4 to 321/8.

Prior 62, Wright 0, Martin-Jenkins 1, Aga 0.

EDIT - Tremlett removes Murray Goodwin for 121 - and it's 331/9

****ing Ramprakash, wish he'd just retire.

---
Edit: 98th ton for him, 2 more then he can retire, so long as there both in the next game.....

All out now for 332, Bond takes seven. Top collapse.

Arafat serving up bombs though.

(sorry)
Mmm, he seems to have done a good job. Can't help thinking that Kent underachieve in the FC game though, especially in the batting department. There's no way a team with that much strength in depth should get rolled for 162, even on a mid-April wicket. Mind you, when your no. 3,4 and 5 all get ducks, you know things aren't going to be peachy.

Props to Keysey though - looks like another great captain's knock. The only downside is that if he carries on like that, I can sense a test recall around the corner.

What's ridiculous is Luke Sutton dropping Ramps on 0.
Dropping Ramprakash in County Cricket is without a doubt, the worst drop one can (and could ever) possibly do. If you are ever going to get Ramprakash, it will either be straight away or after a long punishment.

Finally Chilton gets dropped. Bet he is wishing he kept the captaincy. I would prefer Cross getting a place as a batsman rather than Sutcliffe.
Yes Sutcliffe been rewarded for apparently looking better than anybody in pre-season, thus forcing Chilton out of the side.
