Haha, heard it all before after he retired from ODI's. He bowled beautifully in that Tsunami ODI, people asked whether he'd come back, he said "Maybe" and suddenly the headlines were "Warne considering a come-back!"

I'm surprised Stuart MacGill hasn't turned up on the 'What Really Grinds My Gears' and "...Ruined My Day" threads yet.

For ****s sake Warney, they're called decisions! Noone is writing any scripts.

Would love to see him come back and bowl well though

Haha, yeah that's a good point! The press is reporting that Magilla is on the comeback and ripping his leggie, Warnie announces his comeback just to irk Magilla.

I am not sure its such a great idea. I would be surprised if he did not do some serious damage to his figures if he did.

Here is what he did in test matches in the last three calendar years.

    Code:
    YEAR	Wkts	Avg	St Rate
    2005	96	22.0	45.2
    2006	49	30.2	58.1
    2007	2	46.0	86.0

He should save this announcement for the Ashes series immediately following his 50th birthday, thereby increasing the angst of a new generation of English batsmen, rather than waste it on those whom he's already played against.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

I'd want to see him back just so I could watch him bowl. Such a glorious sight.

But if he does succeed, he will be lauded to the high heavens. A comeback like that against the old rivals will be sweet.

I agree with Benaud, when picking his all-time X, that I expect Warne to take a load of wickets and to do it in his own style...but what makes him special are his comebacks. From injury, from form, psychological...when all the chips are down. The comebacks he has made that I'd say very few humans, not just cricketers, are able to perform.

So if he does come back and does well, then I think it'll be another "I can't believe Warne did that" moment and it will further his legacy.

    Id have no issue.

I hate this cult of youth in International cricket. If he can still perform (thats the question) then he should be picked.
