Fraser-Pryce seems like a likeable bird.

The chick who just won the shot put looks like Rik, the guy who used to post on CW.

I've been to Belarus and there are some absolutely sensational looking women from that country but seriously ugly men

The gold medal winner falls into the latter category

Aw, Val. Still, happy with silver - great that she wasn't completely put off her game by the 'whoops, we forgot to enter you in the event you've been training for for four years' fiasco.

Read a good article where some journalist was laying into athletics New Zealand (or whoever) for screwing up her application for the Olympics. He was comparing it to NZ having the rugby world cup taken away in 2003 and listed our incompetence that year - was interesting reading.

What time is the 1500m and the triathlon?

I've decided all Olympic events should involve hurdles, always provide some lols (even if you do feel a bit sorry for 'em).

Bolt is pretty late compared to others although he was first in his own lane

would have to come up something special again like he did yesterday

I read somewhere no one has defended both 100m and 200m gold medals till now in olympics, is it true?

Flibberty was correct in the end, Phillips Idowu chocked but this time didn't get the chance to do it in the final rounds.

He was never going to get a medal after all the fuss. Was clear he was injured and covering it up, can't blame the guy as he may have been pulled out had he gone to Portugal.

All been a mess with him and CVC, much like KP and the cricket board has been of late.

I wish they'd stop banging about Phillips Idowu. He wasn't a medal hope. He was a nothing who I wish we could have gotten our money back from.
