Group F (Super 8) - Sri Lanka, Australia, India, West Indies

Cricketer Of The Year
That is because the opposition knows playing him for 15 - 20 runs without giving wickets is worth than going after him and losing wickets. Put him in the Aussie team, and see how he'll perform with enough support.
.
Not once has he tried to attack- he's only been restrictive all along. The quality of support is no issue- we've seen strike bowlers from other teams reap rich hauls of wickets with little or no support- Murali, Pollock, McGrath and Lee being prime examples. Why, Australia have often won matches with second-string bowlers against top Indian batting sides.
Nah economy does win you matches in Twenty20 cricket.
And on those occasions, it's accompanied by wickets.

What Harbhajan is doing may be expected from batsmen who can bowl, not strike bowlers. We expect a Murali/Mendis return from a strike spinner.

Gayle departs after 98. He made the most of buffet bowling by Ind part-timers (Dhoni and Gary  )

Nehra and Bhajji did well to not allow WI to get close to 200. These are good batting conditions and with a so-called strong batting line up, Ind should back themselves to get 170

If not then they would only have themselves to blame for playing poor cricket, esp with respect to strategy, tactics and team selection.

Then why is every other bowler getting the tonk? Surely those are the ones who should be dropped first, rather than the one going at less than 5 an over?

Pity to see Vijay have another failure. I wanted to see him put up a case for inclusion even with a fit Sehwag.

Nah disagree. This is a new ball pitch, that much is clear. They have a long batting line-up. There is no need to try and play shots when WI are bowling well. Bat sensibly, the runs will come later. This total is gettable with this batting lineup.

Gambhir has totally lost it against the short ball

He is going to be bombarded by them by any bowler with pace on a wicket with decent carry
