Yuvraj may not start v England

In the form of his life, Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh may be forced to miss the first Test match against England, starting on March 1. Yuvraj pulled a hamstring en route to a match-winning hundred in the fifth One Day International against Pakistan, as India won the series 4-1.

The injury was realized with his score on 82, but the left-hander batted on to 107 not out from 93 balls, inspiring an 8-wicket win for his team. The innings capped off a fantastic series, which saw Yuvraj score 344 runs at an average of 172. He has scored 323 runs (53.83 average) in his last 7 Test innings, and a total of 662 (41.37) in his career.

Indian captain Rahul Dravid stated that the extent of the injury will not be understood for another 24 to 48 hours. The Indian squad for the first Test will be named by Thursday of this week.
