Vaas and Murali could miss tour

Reports have suggested that Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan will not take part in the upcoming tour of India.

They have been said to have requested the break to rest and prepare for March’s World Cup in the West Indies. Both recently enjoyed a successful ODI series against New Zealand where they claimed 14 wickets between them in the drawn series.

Sri Lanka arrive in India in early February and play four ODIs between February 8 and 17.
