Udal and Ali added to squad

Shaun Udal and Kabir Ali have been added to England’s ODI squad for their series in Pakistan, replacing the injured Chris Tremlett and Simon Jones.

Udal has played 10 ODIs, but his last appearance was over 10 years ago. His addition to the squad gives England a second specialist spin option, which should be handy given the conditions.

Ali’s ODI career looked to have been put on hold, as he was dropped for the Natwest Series after a fairly disappointing series in South Africa.
