Plane crashes near Aus training

A light plane crashed in close proximity to where the Australian cricket team were training today in St Vincent. All three passengers survived and no by-standers were hurt.

The incident happened during Australia’s second training session since arriving in the West Indies for the 2007 World Cup.

“Two men and one woman were rescued. Everyone is alive and that is the most important thing,” said a witness, describing the scene to the AAP

Australian batsman Michael Hussey also expressed his concern for those in the crash.

“I’ve only just heard about it,” Hussey said.

“I believe there were a couple of injuries. Fingers crossed they are not too bad.

“I’m sure they’ll be looked after well and hopefully they can recover as quickly as possible.”
