Kallis doubtful for last 2 ODIs

Jacques Kallis is likely to miss the last two ODIs against West Indies to be played in Trinidad over the weekend, owing to an arm injury, which he sustained during the third ODI at Barbados on Wednesday.

Kallis was injured while bowling, when a smash from Chris Gayle left the ball hit his forearm hard, following which he left the field to get a few X-rays done.

Although there wasn’t found any cracked or broken bone, Kallis is said to be feeling a lot of pain, enough to rest him for the last two ODIs, rather than taking the risk of aggravating anything.

Herschelle Gibbs too is doubtful to play, after injuring his knee during a practice session.

Meanwhile, Makhaya Ntini and Charl Langeveldt were fined 25% and 20% of their match fees for the third ODI, respectively, for excessive appealing.

South Africa have already sealed the series 3-0, after Langeveldt ripped through West Indies’ lower order in the third ODI with a hat-trick, to help the Proteas win the match by a single run.
