Injured Edwards out, Collins in

Pedro Collins will replace his half-brother Fidel Edwards in the West Indies squad for the second Test against India.

Edwards sustained a hamstring strain while bowling the second innings of the first Test, which ended in a thrilling draw yesterday. The fast bowler only bowled 4.2 overs in the innings, but still managed to play a big part in the result. He batted for 36 balls to help secure the draw, with just one wicket in hand.

Due to injury, Pedro Collins has not represented the West Indies since April of last year. He has taken 96 Test wickets at an average of 34.13 each, and is presently the most experienced West Indian bowler.

The second Test begins in St. Lucia on Friday.

West Indies 2nd Test squad:
Brian Lara (capt), Chris Gayle, Daren Ganga, Ramnaresh Sarwan (vice-capt), Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Runako Morton, Dwayne Bravo, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Ian Bradshaw, Jerome Taylor, Corey Collymore, Pedro Collins, Dave Mohammed.
