England’s bowling tactics leaked

English officials are fuming today as news come through that a document containing bowling strategies was leaked to Melbourne radio station 774ABC.

The document that was nailed to the players dressing room, outlined weaknesses in the Australian batting lineup and reminded the bowlers of tactics on how to remove their opponents.

It detailed such things as targeting Ricky Ponting early in his innings and bowling bouncers to Andrew Symonds, who was not out for 154 at stumps on day two.

The document was sent by email to the ABC commentary team and read out on air during the second days play in the fourth Ashes Test.

England pace bowler Matthew Hoggard told the BBC that he was really disappointed by the news and that these incidents should not be happening in international cricket. He said that security measures should be enforced to ensure that these things do not happen in the future.
