Dravid given Indian captaincy

Sourav Ganguly has been named as a provisional 16th man in the Indian squad for the upcoming IndianOil Cup in Sri Lanka. However, Rahul Dravid has been granted the captaincy, as Ganguly will only play pending the his suspension by the ICC being revoked.

Ganguly has four games to serve on the suspension.

The squad features a mix of experience and new faces, as Anil Kumble and VVS Laxman were selected, as well as Suresh Raina, Venugopal Rao and Jai P Yadav.
