Complete Washout

The four-day match between the New Zealand A White XI and Pakistan A in Cairns was abandoned without a single ball bowled due to a water-logged outfield.

Days of heavy rain in Cairns put the outfield in a state of being unfit for play, and conditions failed to improve sufficiently for the replacement one-day matches scheduled for yesterday and today to go ahead.

It was a disappointing end to the tour for New Zealand White, for whom it was the last match of the Top End Series.
