Chappell’s contract finalised

Greg Chappell’s contract details have been finalised, Indian cricket bosses revealed today.

The former Australian cricket captain will receive a basic annual salary of $175,000 to $185,000. On top of this he is entitled to $20,000 travel funds, 70 days annual leave and a flat for himself and his wife.

Regarding media committments, it is understood he will be given the freedom to express his thoughts and feelings through a newspaper, however keep close team matters secret.

Chappell has also enlisted in the services of two support staff. Bowling biomechanics expert Ian Frazer will join Australian sports psychologist Charles Krebs to assist him.

Chappell is expected to arrive in India on June 15 to prepare for a triangular one-day series in Sri Lanka.
