Bond, Oram back

The New Zealand test and one-day squads to tour Zimbabwe in August have been announced.

Notable inclusions are fast bowler Shane Bond and allrounder Jacob Oram. Bond has not played international cricket since 2003, and Oram was ruled out of the recent home summer. Both players have recovered from back injuries.

There is one newcomer, promising young Wellington offspinner Jeetan Patel, who is in the one-day squad.

Coach John Bracewell told the New Zealand Herald that Patel was part of the build up to the 2007 World Cup. Bracewell was also impressed with his ability to bowl late in the innings.

Daryl Tuffey and Chris Harris have been left out to recover from injuries and get back to full fitness.

Tuffey will join Chris Martin, Kyle Mills, Daniel Vettori, Bond and Oram in the Emerging Players team to Australia leaving next week.
