Anderson joins casualty list

Senior English bowler James Anderson is in doubt for the first Test against Sri Lanka after hurting his left ankle.

The injury occurred during England’s tour match against the Sri Lanka Cricket Board President’s XI at Colombo and could not come at a worse time for England, having just lost Steve Harmison to injury in the same match.

England however, are hopeful the 25 year old will make a full recovery and be fit for the first Test against Sri Lanka starting on Saturday at Kandy.
