Adams returns home

With New Zealand being permitted a squad of 15 players for the Commonwealth Bank Series and both Kyle Mills and Jacob Oram joining the 14 already there, one player has had to make way for the returning players. The one player forced to return home has been Auckland all-rounder Andre Adams, who has played no part in the series so far.

Team manager Lindsay Crocker has suggested that Adams will get more game time if he returns home and will be able to remain strongly in contention for the 15-man World Cup squad if he performs well in domestic cricket for Auckland in the next couple of months.
