At least he's playing

I know smith is going to be a good red ball bowler but is he not a prospect for the one day or t20 sqauds?
I'm glad he is play fc rather that travelling to India for the one day series btw

A very strong squad by our FC standards. I expect serious contributions from Hemraj at the top of the order to compete for that Test opener slot and hopefully a breakthrough season for Tevin Imlach. On the bowling side, I'm expecting another big season for Nial Smith.

As for Hety, do you think it's because he has T20 commitments and so won't be around all the time? Tbh I'm just excited to see him play red ball cricket. I hope he scores runs and forces his way back into the test team.

I initially thought so but tbh he did stink up the place in CPL. Need to see more of him in CPL/Super 50. I'm also glad he's playing red ball cricket instead.

So we know the Jamaica and Guyana squads. Looking forward to seeing the others. I really hope to see some of the Under 19 talent from the last 3 or 4 years actually get some game time. For example, Imlach for Guyana, Kallicahran and Keegan Simmons for T & T, Emmanuel Stewart for the WIndwards etc.

Hopefully Pooran actually plays. Would make their batting a bit less terrible in Tests if he was up for it.

Pooran and Hety being considered for tests would be wonderful tbh. It would require patience but their upside is just so much higher than the likes of Roston Chase.

Yes, it’s a strong squad on paper, the likes of some very experienced guys who have been part of the championship teams…

But, what I am afraid of is inconsistency. Tage we know can grind it out, but Hemraj and his fitness issues might come to haunt us. Our batting will need to pull their weights.

Imlach can play in this team as a specialist batsman.
Hetmyer in makes it very strong.

Looking forward to watching Nial Smith again…and I hope Keemo Paul have a stellar season with bat and ball.

This team is very experienced.

The fact that we still have low scores here suck. But, Motie among the wickets. Yeah boy!

I thought he was retiring to become the batting coach for Windwards. No Sunil Ambris in the squad for whatever reason.
Yeah Ambris missing is weird. But I love that squad, so many young batsmen are getting a chance.

So now the T20 series against England is done, how does the T20 lineup for the world cup look? I think this series might actually be quite important for us moving forward as it will give some very talented cricketers some belief. My T20 World Cup squad as it stands....

Evin Lewis
Kyle Mayers
Nicholas Pooran (wk)
Rovman Powell
Kieron Pollard
Jason Holder
Fabian Allen
Romario Shepherd
Odean Smith
Akheil Hossein
Obed McCoy

Reserves
Brandon King (reserve opener)
Shimron Hetmeyer (reserve middle order)
Hayden Walsh Jr (extra spinner)
Sheldon Cotterell (spare pacer)

Hety can always come in if we feel its one all rounder too many or Rovman is struggling against the spin. I really like where our T20 side is heading.

I know shephard has been a useful bits and pieces player and all but does he really deserve a spot? Currently averaging 32 @ an econ of 11 in t20I. If most games he's only gonna face a few balls and he's going at 11/s what does he really add?

I think he's starting to understand his role and could be very good indeed. Early days though. It could be between Odean Smith and Romario Shepherd for one slot.
