Our under-19 girls are out of the World Cup, beaten by Rwanda (which is a success story this WC).

Our senior women’s team lost yesterday. A dismal batting performance. In fact, atrocious batting from both the under-19 and the senior teams.

Our grassroots cricket needs a massive overhaul.

Genuinely, batting at all levels, genders etc is appalling. It's a region wide crisis.

He looks so good at the crease. Absolute class. However he is still prone to the odd lazy shot. He edged to slip in the second innings off a Nial Smith half volley because he didn't move his feet enough. I think he's imporving though, we'll see him in the test side soon.

Darren Bravo with a century as well in a captain's innings for Trinidad and Tobago.
The batting this year has definitely stepped up, which is much needed. There is defimitely still room for the likes of Darren Bravo in regional teams but I still think there are too many average seniors blocking the route of academy players.

Yeah, if the fc tournament is going to continue in it's current format then adding the Academy side or an WI 'B' side is a must.

The Leewards are going to have some competitions again which is vital for identifying new talent there.

Just five matches in the tournament these days ?
Yeah and no more home and away matches. All to do with money because hosting cricket in the Caribbean is logistically more expensive than any other cricket nation.

So they are hosting all the matches in 2 or 3 countries and then having a mini best v best tournament including the academy at the end. It's not ideal but they're doing the best they can in the circs.
