Why no crowd barricades?

Tonight we saw a guy nailing down a Pakistani player and it's only his luck that the player was not injured. This is not the first time we've seen idiots running into players (streaker Symonds incident) and yet it seems whatever action taken by the authorities as preventive measures have not worked. Isn't it time fences were installed like in the subcontinent to prevent such unfortunate and stupid bogans?

Lol @ nailing down. I've hugged my sister more violently than that.

Anyway, fences are a horrid idea. Absolutely horrid. I want kids playing on the outfield during the innings break.

Don't think we should make light of that specific incident though. An injury could heave easily happened. It's not hard to pop or strain a shoulder.

Haha, that's such a motherly thing to say. Could put your eye out doing that!

But yeah, I dislocated my right shoulder a few years back after being tackled from behind playing rugby. It's never quite been the same since. So you do have a point, but that particular cuddle-spear was never going to do much damage really. Not that I'm in any way trying to defend the idiot.

Who was the Pakistani player that ran to help his teammate out?

And why the **** did no one else do that? Where's the team unity Pakistan!

Security who can run a 15-minute 5Km would help things a little. Hell, security who could run 15 metres without crumbling would be nice.

Hell, security who can run, FFS.

I do not agree. Kids can play on village greens not on international grounds, not least when am international match is happening.

You must be joking when you say it was like hugging, it was a tackle and that too from the behind when a player is least expecting. Are you condoning his actions?

Let's bring fences in because one guy got onto the pitch. FFS
It is not a one off thing. I have seen streakers entering the playing area almost every summer now. That has now breached all limits.

I hope the **** is jailed and never allowed to step into any sort of public venue for some years at least and never at cricket matches ever.

Pitch intruders run the risk of Shahid Afridi either pirhouetting on them with his studs or biting them. Personally I wouldn't risk it
