Patience and Accuracy+Gut

International 12th Man
Barnes. Has to be Sydney Francis Barnes.

Everyone who saw him bowl had no doubt whatsoever that He was the greatest bowler there has ever been and the greatest there ever will be.
Absolute force of personality and unbelievable confidence on his own ability, never bowed down to cricket administration's and hierarchy. And as mentioned still skillful enough to anyone to have given anyone to ever live problems when he would be of grandpa age.

Tbh, never had that feeling with Amir, Asif looked out of this world.
Amir was a Tendulkar level prodigy. The Amir on return in 2016 had basically watered down himself for being out of match practice.

In 2009/2011, he took a wicket with his first over and had a good series, set Pakistan up in the T20 final, took a fifer first test ever in Australia, and then set England on fire before his spotfixing and would have been Wisden player of the year by 18 years old.

That's why Michael Holding was in tears when he found out about his spotfixing, what a loss.

I wouldnt put Bumrah up there yet because of shorter career, but both Marshall and Bumrah combine versatility with being able to read batsmen, and Wasim wasn't outstanding at the latter.
You mentioned swing specifically. I was referring to that. You didn't explain it nor retract your point.

I was not talking about overall skillfulness.

Ok I mean you have raw ability of swing but swing skill to me combines that with intelligence.

What? How are Bumrah and Marshall better than Wasim in overall swing? Both are probably better at seam than Wasim but Wasim was better at swing.
After 2021 WTC Final
Many people criticized bumrah and doubted his ability to swing the ball in english condition.
