Too many to mention (you know how old I am), but when I was at school I had a chat with Gary Sobers the week after he hit six sixes off Malcolm Nash.

He's still my favourite of all time (Sobers, not Nash).
Exactly how old are you Eddie?

You don't want to know! Come to think of it, can he even remember any more? hehe :P

I haven't met any cricketers but maybe that will change when I go to Lord's.

Actually that's a lie I met Cardigan Connor once, the Hampshire legend who once took 9-38 against Gloucestershire in 1996. But he isn't an international cricketer. I've bowled to Laurence Prittipaul, current Hampshire player, in the nets once as well, but that's it I think.

Face it, guys and gals.

You'll get there soon, one day.

I don't mind being old. I saw Graeme Pollock bat - and that memory is one which deserves to last a lifetime.

Rik

Cricketer Of The Year
I know he's not an International yet but Chris Rogers has been playing over here and I've seen him around Shrewsbury. He writes an artical for the Shropshire Star (Shropshire's No.1 paper). He seems like a really nice guy to boot, not arrogent at all, loves the game and has very mature views.

I've met like all of them,
But when i mean meet, as in socialise and talk to.
Doug Walters I've played a round of golf with.
and i've talked to Brad Hogg.
They're the ones i've had like over an hour with

Its quite a rewarding experience when you get an oppertunity to spend some time with international stars off the field to realise that most of them are just regular blokes.

Once at a jazz/Karioke club Sir Gary Sobers and Viv Richards walked in, and just when things couldnt get any better the MC made an announcement introducing casually next song to be performed by Vivian ..... Believe it or not most people did not clue-in and thought Vivian as a female (Alcohol ) well up walked the "master blaster" on stage and crooned soulfully as a maestro .... and he brought the house down.

That was a UNBELIEVABLE NIGHT !

Met Geoffrey Boycott at a Test a while back but he was quite rude. Git :(

He was very abrupt with loads of little kids who wanted autographs and then when I tried to talk to him (i.e. say hi and enquire how he was) and he wasn't having any of it and walked off. :!( Still got his autograph though 8D

Grrr cant believe my parents went to Barbados on tour with the Somerset team that had Botham, Richards, Garner etc... Must have been awesome :!(

I've met Geoff too and he was bluff or brusque as opposed to plain rude (typical Yorkshire grit, you might call it).

Perhaps he was just having a bad day (and he's had plenty of those recently).

Quite true, he has had a bit of a rough time of it recently.

Just remembered I met Matthew Sinclair when he was playing for the club down the road (Cleethorpes CC), he'd just got out on 199 so I'll let him off for being slightly moody
