Which Indian cricketer is likely to win a WTC Final?

The whole "This India team has won no ICC trophies" thing is a dumb meme when it's extended to test cricket. In ODIs and t20s, the world cups are clearly what matter and the gap in importance between the tournaments and bilateral series is absolutely huge. So you can't really argue when people call it a huge failure for them not having won one for a while despite being strong. Tests obviously way different.

Don't think "India can't win the world championship, they can only win series in Australia" is a sentence that stings any Indian players or fans of test cricket. If anything, it'd be way worse if India had won the WTC but hadn't managed a win in Australia yet.
adding onto this it stings more that we havent won any of the last 3 series in SA than the wtc personally

Lol Indian supporters on this forum simply can't take the pain and humiliation of getting bombed in two WTC Finals. Additionally, they also choked hard in the South Africa tours whenever they played there. The thread is about whether can any Indian cricketer win a WTC Final and all they have to come up with is that it doesn't matter winning for them lol, simply say it's the England conditions where you guys are not capable of winning against any SENA nations no matter how many finals you reach

No wonder these Jadeja's, Ashwin's will always be overhyped and not rated among the all time greats of the game irrespective of how many wickets they pick because they are the biggest home bullies. :D

the only reason why you guys even pretend to care about this tinpot trophy is because it masks the fact that you havent won a test series against us in ages

I like the WTC but the first two didn’t count. NZ had the easiest of runs up to the WC, still had to rely on Australia getting penalised on run rate, got a warm up series before the final and had the friendliest conditions possible against India. They then needed 6 days to win. It was all rigged because the ICC felt bad about the 2019 WC Final.

The second WTC was a farce as Australia was cheating, just like they did in the 2023 WC Final @ankitj

Yea and remember the ICC have never ever displayed any favouritism towards India

I agree that NZ's 2-0 win over India was quite easy. We were ranked the number 1 test team in the world in 2021 so playing inferior teams is usually easy.

Don't forget that Australia would've needed to go to SA and win either 2-0 or 3-0 but cancelled the tour. The run rate excuse isn't valid.

Also regarding the "6 days" there was just over 300 overs in the WTC which is 10 sessions of play. Unfortunately for India, Kyle Jamieson was the best cricketer on the planet at the time and they couldn't handle him.

It's still the reason they didn't make the final. That's an objective fact
Agree, but they CHOSE not to tour (objective fact) citing Covid concerns despite the fact that Sri Lanka had only just toured. Australia chose not to give themselves a chance to make the final. Health is far more important than sport so it was probably the right choice. I expect South Africa would've at least drawn the series and very much doubt Australia would've won 2-0 or 3-0, but not touring is the reason they didn't make the final as it made it impossible.

Australia were very poor away from home at that time and sandpaper gate would've been very fresh in everyone's minds.
Australia usually win in SA, how they are away from home in other places is irrelevant. SA were also a significantly weaker side than 2018. They lost a few great players in the intervening years IIRC
