As it stands (taking Fuller's vote into account) Ankit and Stephen are tied at the top with Teuton at 3rd.

Teuton - Batting order is pretty ace but the bowling, apart from McGrath and to an extent, Hogg lacks a bit... Good side though, for almost all conditions. 8/10.


L&L - Kallis out of position is a turn off but a good side. 7.5/10.


my side - Think it is a solid side just for all the options around and the nice balance of left and right handers both with batsmen and bowlers. 7/10


StephenZA - Love the top 3 and it has like 5 ATGs in that side but something just does not click with that line up. 6.5/10


FP - A lot of people out of position and not a strong side at all IMO. 5/10


Anil1405 - Love the bowling, batting seems like something that can fall apart inspite of 3 ATGs of the ODI format there in the top 4. 7/10.


Pothas - A very up and down side in terms of quality. 6/10.


Mr_Mr - The man who screwed up everyone's draft plans, lol. Just got way too many #3s there, like the entire middle order is a bunch of #3s and the bowling is very very underwhelming. 5/10


ankitj - The bottom half is all kinds of awesome but offset a bit by less than legendary top half. 7/10


KK - Lacks the lower middle orde rhitting power but otherwise, a pretty awesome side. 7.5/10


trundler - Don't like Trott in there and Pooran as a pure batsman at 7 seems a waste, the bowling I think is one of those that will perform better than it looks on paper. 7/10


weldone - Actually seems one of the better balanced sides in entire draft. 7.5/10

Sorry L&L, yours was very close but just can't see how any side will win with Kallis at 6. That ended up being the tie-breaker.

I don't think my team is very good, but apart from Bevan Congdon at 4 everyone is batting in the right position.

i don't understand it at as a criticism anyway

so many ATG fantasy sides need to have career top 4 batsmen having to bat 5 and 6, how else do you fit Viv, Headley and Lara or Bradman, Ponting and Chappel in the same test XI

choosing a lesser batsmen who mainly batted at 5 or 6(probably because in the side they actually played in they weren't good enough to bat higher) in a draft just so everyone is 'batting in position' is a practice i dont agree with really

It doesn't matter in tests but in ODIs it's a thing. #6 has to start out in a much different situation most of the time and requires a somewhat different skillset. Babar Azam is more of an accumulator than somebody with a power hitting game suited to finishing.

I feel most legendary 3's could adapt to the role of a 5/6 easily enough if they had to.

Both Babar and Fafs t20 strike rates point to this anyway

I am sure Faf and Babar who open in T20s and get to score in the powerplays will score at the same rate coming in the 41st over against spinners with 5 men back...

It’s a bit like picking Garry Sobers as an ODI allrounder, you can make the argument that he would adjust his game and go well and you’d probably be right, but probably isn’t quite as good as having someone there who actually did it.

Yes but in the case of Babar and Faf it was after they were set and having gotten a start with a good SR in the powerplay. I remember the GOAT ODI opener Sachin coming in a game in the 1999 WC with 300 odd for 2 and trying to accelerate at the slog and look miserable and get out. When you got the entire bunch of all ODI cricketers to pick from and you cannot pick specialists for the lower middle order, your team loses out. End of.
