Lee became better when he remodeled his action around 2004/05 while he was out of the test side. Improved his accuracy while generating good out swing
Best Lee ever bowled in cricket was around 2003, 2004 with the white ball. Was unplayable with the new rock

Great FC record true. But I'm not taking that and Don's word to put him top 20 for me.
Yet there are some who would take Don's word over yours. Lee played enough to show he'd be lucky to be in the top 20.


Weird career though, had his breakthrough series in England in 1921 and then immediately stopped playing.
He didn't stop playing. He accepted a pro contract with Nelson, served a qualification period and played the rest of his career with Lancashire. His last year was 1930 when he was 39. One of the few bowlers to disturb Bradman that year, knocking out his pegs for 9.

He leaked too many runs in the format to be ahead of either McGrath or Starc imo. He could arguably be first change but there’s some good competition with the likes of Lillee or even Bracken.
