Time to sack George Bailey as Captain and player.

in the end, i think we can blame the selectors picking on bbl form.
isnt it good to be picking players who are in good form from the relevant format though?-i am not debating if they were or not as i dont have the knowledge of australian domestic cricket, just the principle which sounds ok to me(unless they pick a team full of newbies who cant cut it at international level-which i certainly dont think this Aus team was)

Chris Lynn did well in his only T20,good chance.
But definitely Smith as captain, time to train him up like Clarke, and George Bailey(who is unsure if he will remain captain ) will never play test cricket again, neither captain it.
Steve Smith has an excellent IPl record averages round 40,and a good player of spin, and the next T20 world cup is in India.

the most (un)amusing part for me is how the media reports on it, once we go like busted arses there is no coverage. how can you expect the average dickhead to care
t20 was made for the average dickhead so there is an irony CA can't get it past the media censors.

oz t20 needed smith's skill, next time his captaincy. remember sixers victory under smith? had talent to win but 70% fielding batting spin

Jono is an average dickhead, and he cares.....

It might take a WT20 to be held here for us to get the team right for the format, but I don't suppose that will happen anytime soon given footy season kicks in by early March.

the tigers won the 2005 grand final so t20 world cup doesn't matter to me

Probably gonna upset some people by saying this, but seriously.......how major is the thing really??

When Australia sit back and review their last 6 months results and performances with all that they have achieved.........does anyone honestly think that their performances in this tourny are going to factor too highly??

When Boof took over the reigns if you'd have offered him an Ashes win backed up by a win against the No 1 test side in the world but losing 3 straight in the T20 WC, I reckon the bloke would have bitten your arm off for it.
This sort of attitude is why England serve up dross in limited overs cricket.

Because the BBL is played during the Aussie home international season, the top players are playing for Australia instead of BBL.
