A pleasure to have left you so much quality after my original gloucs pick. I'm curious who you would have taken, given both of Grace and Hammond.

Grace if I was picking this round, and Hammond if I didn't have Kallis in my team already, if that makes any sense.

stphndbsn - real apologies - I willed the computer for a better result but it backfired. At least it's not a 3rd Jharkand or Baroda
stphndbsn - I just had a look at Assam - Really really really sorry
You are not forgiven...

Amol Muzumdar - Assam

Steve's (?!!!!!?) XI
01
02 Vijay Hazare (Baroda)
03 Vijay Manjrekar (Uttar Prudesh)
04 Amol Muzumdar (Assam)
05 Martin Crowe (Auckland)
06 Saurabh Tiwary (Jharkhand)
07
08
09 Malcolm Marshall (Barbados)
10 Zaheer Khan (Baroda)
11 Varun Aaron (Jharkhand)

Hazare will just have to open... at this stage I would like to just get a team on the field. I can just see poor Malcolm's face walking out onto the field with this lot. Maybe it would make him angry and he could bowl the opposition out in under 5 overs....
(In all honestly the team is not that bad.... its just not that great either. Oh and I`m learning lots more about Indian cricket)

@anil - lol, Bradman averages OVER 4 runs less in first class - deal with it!
Its still greater than the combined FC average of one of your opener and your no.3. Plus if he has to face bowlers like your no.11 he would average 150. :p

Amol Muzumdar probably deserves better than a 6.....
Indeed. After compiling those first class stats, I realised those rankings I gave, based on Test performances, are not even remotely right anymore. Look at Clarrie Grimmet. I guess they are representative of the highest level. Some players are much better at first class than test level but they may have been playing against weaker opponents more often. I was going to alter it for first class rankings, but, to be honest, I'm over this obsession for the moment.

All done for this round - We need someone else to randomise a new round - best for Red Hill - I could do it again, but how are you going to feel when I draw NSW (McGrath) or Victoria (Miller)
