How many international players are each county allowed in the CC? Surely, no more than two, would make sense to follow along with such rules when picking ATG county sides.

Yeah, for these purposes ATG sides should have IMO:
* English players play for the county they made their FC debut for (as minor counties makes the "learning their cricket" rule too hard to implement)
* no more than 2 overseas players

Really? Huh, I guess I spaced on that one.
Shoaib Mohammad (Hanif's son) would be a good sub for Grant Flower. That way you could have father & son opening the innings

Just a little question for those who enjoy ATG teams and compiling them.
At what point of his career would you consider Steve Smith for an Australian ATG XI, and possibly even a world ATG XI?
What more (if any) would he have to do in your eyes to achieve those things?

But on closely related above hows about Gary and Peter Kirsten. Got to be up there. In many ways like the Waughs. One the grafter and one the more naturally talented.

I think he's there now. Usually I wouldn't put someone into something like that until the end of their career, particularly a batsman (Gilchrist or Warne were easy to add due to their unique skills).
