Typically English XI. Half the players listed aren't from England.

How many international players are each county allowed in the CC? Surely, no more than two, would make sense to follow along with such rules when picking ATG county sides.

Yeah, for these purposes ATG sides should have IMO:

* English players play for the county they made their FC debut for (as minor counties makes the "learning their cricket" rule too hard to implement)
* no more than 2 overseas players

Best XI you can make where everyone in the XI is closely related to someone else in the XI

1. Chris Broad
2. Grant Flower
3. Ian Chappell
4. Greg Chappell
5. Mark Waugh
6. Steve Waugh
7. Andy Flower+
8. Trevor Chappell
9. Maurice Tate
10. Stuart Broad
11. Fred Tate

Harder than I thought it would be, particularly to pick enough bowlers, not sure that T Chappell at 8 is quite good enough

Edit: could replace chappells with pollocks as the three

1. Chris Broad
2. Grant Flower
3. Graeme Pollock
4. Mark Waugh
5. Steve Waugh
6. Andy Flower
7. Shaun Pollock
8. Maurice Tate
9. Stuart Broad
10. Peter Pollock
11. Fred Tate

Can put in Yasir shah and younis khan in place of the broads, if cousins count.

Edit or Hanif, Mushtaq, Sadiq Mohammad

Cousins don't count but the Mohammeds are a good shout

1. Hanif Mohammed
2. Grant Flower
3. Graeme Pollock
4. Mark Waugh
5. Steve Waugh
6. Andy Flower+
7. Mushtaq Mohammed
8. Shaun Pollock
9. Maurice Tate
10. Peter Pollock
11. Fred Tate

Liking the balance now, two seamers, two swing bowlers and a leggie with batting down to 10.

International Captain
Hanif Mohammad
Grant Flower

Mark Waugh
Steve Waugh
Andy Flower (wk)
Walter Hadlee (c)
Mushtaq Mohammad
Shaun Pollock
Sir Richard Hadlee
Peter Pollock

Ridiculous batting depth.

Richard and Dayle Hadlee > Grant and Andy Flower, but you might have been due to your batting order.

Steve Waugh
Hugh Trumble
Ian Healy +
John Trumble
Shane Lee
Brett Lee
Mitchell Starc

David Hussey

Cheated a little bit with Healy and Starc but needed the keeper. This is the strongest Aust combo I could come up with.

Just a little question for those who enjoy ATG teams and compiling them.

At what point of his career would you consider Steve Smith for an Australian ATG XI, and possibly even a world ATG XI?

What more (if any) would he have to do in your eyes to achieve those things?

SeamUp

International Coach
Dave/Dudley Nourse could also come into it
Interestingly 'probably' one of 9 father and son pairs for SA ?

Nourse
Tuckett
Lindsay
van der Bijl
Ackerman
Pollock
Bacher
McKenzie
Cook

+ 1 for Jennings with Keaton playing for England.

But on closely related above hows about Gary and Peter Kirsten. Got to be up there. In many ways like the Waughs. One the grafter and one the more naturally talented.

I think he's there now. Usually I wouldn't put someone into something like that until the end of their career, particularly a batsman (Gilchrist or Warne were easy to add due to their unique skills).
