That Rashid bloke...

International Regular
I mean Adil Rashid, the 18-year old Yorkshire kid who's apparently the new big English spinner...

He's currently playing for England U19 against India U19. Having made 114 in the first innings, he's now taken 42-7-142-7 in India's first innings (India 338/9 so chance of an 8th wicket, but he's not currently bowling).

Monty, watch your back.

I believe he's a leg spinner as well...

Sounds like he can bat, and is a leg spinner. Yea, that could spell trouble for monty, but not for another three-four years. Montys' got time ;).

He took the 8fer but probably says more about the lack of penetration of the other bowlers and his ability to bowl lots of overs than anything else.

Anyway, well bowled

A Rashid 43.5 overs 157 runs 8 wkts 3.58 econ

Well they're playing at Taunton so it's probably a bit of a road.

Another GBH? Much ado about nothing. Get over it.
I wasn't entirely serious in that first post.

Still, if, (BIG if, see the Norwegian entry in this thread) he can sustain this kind of performance he will be quite someone in a few years' time.
