Graham Gooch

Clive Lloyd (c)
Les Ames (wk)

Shane Warne [4]

Gun batting full of ATGs and ATVGs and bats deep too with Warne at #10. Bowling is solid but lacks bit of punch that comes from presence of a tier-1 pace bowler. But with Warne you got the x-factor and 3 pace bowlers are fairly capable too. Hammond to provide the cushion to bowling with his medium pace.
That batting is sick1. Jack Hobbs
2. Vinoo Mankad (5)
3. Ricky Ponting
4. George Headley
5. Brian Lara
6. Greg Chappell (C)
7. Monty Noble (4)
8. John Waite (Wk)
9. Richard Hadlee (1)
10. Peter Pollock (3)
11. Harold Larwood (2)
12th: Rahul Dravid
13th: Archie Jackson
5 ATG batsmen (plus Dravid on the bench). A no.11 who averages 19 with the bat in both tests and FC cricket. Is there a better batting line up in the draft?
Bowling wise it's lead by a man who is used to destroying attacks on his own for years and here he is ably supported by Larwood, Pollock and Noble. Ideally would've preferred another spin bowler for SC conditions but Mankad is no stranger to being a full time spinner.

Yeah, I didn't need Headley. I was trying to get the most out of your purse but that backfired. Could've got Warne with that money but I wouldn't mind such a strong batting line up for once. That batting is sick
Surprised that someone with such a vast knowledge of the game considers Lara and Chappell as #3's.Yeah but 4 #3s with a 5th in the shed too..

It's easy for a #4 batsman to adapt to #5 and #6 in this side. There is basically no tail in the batting line up and even if 3 or 4 wickets fall for under 100 (which wont happen often) they can still adapt and play their natural game knowing that they will get good support from batsmen to come.
