Trumble was having a peak during Barnes's "era" and that era is highlighted because Barnes played 3 games in a timeframe that overlapped with Trumble's career, Trumble's career stats are 21.56 even tho played on even more bowling friendly wickets than Barnes. Blythe is fair but he's not rated as highly because he was average on good batting wickets in Australia. Sensational bowler at home tho.
for reference, Young Barnes and Peak Trumble played 4 games together.

Trumble: 21 wickets @ 20.95
Barnes: 26 wickets @ 16.23

no contest.

In the PEWS system, Barnes' average is adjusted to 19.99, and Blyth's and Trumble's average is adjusted to 24.12 and 27.04 respectively.

Blyth didn't make it in the DoG ranking, but Trumble did appear, and his average was adjusted to 25.79, and Barnes' average was adjusted to 20.25.

4 or more WPM in a series(min : 2 Tests)

I think that’s a basic minimum for a good series

Ambrose : Australia, England & Pakistan

Imran : Australia, England, India, NewZealand, SriLanka and WestIndies.

Holding : Australia, England & India.

Garner : Australia, England & NewZealand.

Donald : Australia, England, India and SriLanka

Steyn : Australia, England, India, Pakistan, SriLanka, Bangladesh and WestIndies.
Kinda unfair to bowlers who had more competition for wickets no? Also, request you posts the stats for series where the bowlers averaged 25 or under.

Exactly. He also had excellent series in Aus and Eng in 81 and 87 respectively.

He simply was more proven across conditions.

And despite all the claims otherwise, there is no way we can be sure how Ambrose would have done with more tests in SC, especially after his pace declined in 94.
This is actually a reasonable take and a big improvement over your prior pov where you just assumed he'd do bad given a few tests in India.

Well before I said he was unproven in SC. That has been my stance even if I think he likely would have struggled post 94.
