Using Australia as an example is absolutely disgraceful... when's the last time Hayden has played for Queensland? Or how about Gilchrist and Martyn for WA? CW XI Test/ODI players generally play at least 1/2 of the season for their Dev League side. And also, your last paragraph made NO SENSE. Mohammed jihad durk durka!

And of course.. I'm putting this argument to rest (as my intention was at the end of my previous post) as I don't care much for it, so, just drop it.
There's a difference. Hayden, Martyn & Gilchrist aren't getting selected for a 2nds side.

Wasn't my point, the Pura Cup/ING Cup and the Australia cricket team are very different from the Dev League and CW XI (before someone says something funny like "They both play cricket ha ha!", I mean in terms of international players and their involvement in the domestic league.)

There is no difference.

Australia is selected from a pool of teams.
THese teams are the state teams, and hence : for a certain period the state teams can -not- have these players playing for them, due to their commitment to the Australian team (even if it is year around, the same concept applies).

Now,.... this is no different to the CW 11 second team, AS the pool of players are coming from the Dev League and can't play for their teams during their time playing for the CW 11 team.

Hence : same deal.

The situation, overall, is somewhat different, but the ideology is the same.
Back to my point of 'they have been selected for a greater cause, it should be an honour, not a bickering debate of if even distribution of players from teams occur or not rah rah'.

Okay?

Hope you aren't being rascist there...
??????????????????????????????????/

Racist??!!! What????

Okay, this argument is getting tiresome.. I suggest you move on... there is clearly a difference between the two. The statement "Australia is selected from a pool of teams" is true - but proves absolutely nothing. EVERY - SINGLE - NATIONAL - TEAM is selected this way... simply because CW XI and Australia share this does NOT mean their respective domestic competitions are the SAME, especially in terms of how frequently internationals play for their domestic side.

The Dev League and the Pura Cup/ING Cup are different, saying that because both the CW XI and the Australian teams are selected from a pool of teams does not mean there is no difference between them.

AND LASTLY... It's blatant to me you have completely misinterpreted my posts... I posted several times that I had accepted the decision and closed the argument.. "Oh well, if the decision is final, then fine, I can accept it. It doesn't bother me too much, I was just arguing for the sake of arguing... Sorry" was only one occasion. And I never said ANYTHING about the whole Club over Country issue either.

Some key points...

1. 11 players can participate in a cricket match.
2. The most suitable 11 players have been chosen.
3. The composition of the team shall not be changed.
4. The matter shall now end.

My point is you said (and I quote), "in effect it is a meaningless game".

Others have been severely criticized for similar if not lesser comments.
I am talking about in terms of there's no points at stake etc.

You don't see NSW team players or WA team players whinging and whining because there are more of these state players playing for australia than say Queensland, Victoria or Tasmania do you?
There's a difference between Tests and warm up games.

Over here this sort of side is selected from teams without a game where possible, but if not possible then players are selected with the idea of not penalising or benefitting others.

You havent seen Team America? Durka durka?
Yes I have, and that is why I asked if he was being rascist.

From the fact that he couldn't understand a comment I left....not my fault, nor his I guess, but the comment of "durka durka" ie: from Team America, where the creators suggest that "terrorist people" (all middle eastern people basically from this take-the-**** of lame western ideolgy ((mainly american)) )are viewed as speaking a substandard language ie all words are :durka durka mohammed alah durka durka".

Hence, rascist if I was not of Western culture :P, even though I am, and just screwed up the sentence.

Sorry, needed to answer that. Rascism is poo. :) :) :)
