Slightly Wacky Draft

To further clarify @AndyZaltzHair - as Ataraxia says above you'd need one 1960s debutant and 4 normal picks - was a fault of mine was hoping to use 2010s Debutant to apply to you when making my pick but I messed up there when typing pick doing McCabe, Lloyd then Philander. Should have been McCabe, Philander, Lloyd but yeah that was my fault when typing out my pick so I will update table accordingly with that and most recent picks.

So simple answer 5 Picks - one of which is a 1960s debutant and 4 normal picks.

I feel a bit bad about not using any of my wildcards - I was expecting to near the end but didn't have access to the forum for long periods so had some catch-up picks late on, making the wildcards fairly uselss. I was tempted in Round 5 to steal Andy Flower, skip AndyZaltzHair (who could otherwise have stolen him back) and then dictate "Zimbabwean" in one exciting manoeuvre, but was convinced I'd regret it later on if I did (besides being happy enough to pick Walcott at this point).

Well thanks for not doing it I guess... otherwise I'd be left with Tatenda Taibu!

I didn't make full use of my wildcards. I actually used one then changed when it was pointed out another wild card could foil my plot.

Yeah there was just not much incentive to use the dictate, you wanted to hold it back in case you needed it later. Steal suffered from the Bradman problem.

I think the snake order also had an impact. I mean, if I stole someone's pick at the top of the snake, I was concerned I might have had a pick stolen off me when the order reversed. Considering that and not being particularly interested in ruining anyone else's team, it seemed a better approach to use them as defensive options. The dictate card in particular could get me out of a tight spot.

If I was to run this again - certainly things to keep in mind. The snake format was mostly used as it is 'the default' and I guess the 'state of play' when it comes to draft order for whole game being transparent from the get go.

Might just have no Bradman - envisaged it would lead to some being very aggressive stealing at the start and banking on the skip option with others being much more careful. But yeah agree that they ended up being more defensive options.
