Nah, it was HayNice that we won on the backs of performances from two newbies. Good to see Ish back in the wickets and great that Duffy is really building on his good form.
Did Seifert keep or was that a Cricinfoism?
Best in the world...and great that Duffy is really building on his good form.
I thought I saw seifert behind the stumps?Nah, it was Hay
Me too.I thought I saw seifert behind the stumps?
Seifert is part of the originally named T20I squad. Hay and Robinson and Neesham are temporary for game 1, while Ravindra Phillips etc are in transit from US after MLC final. That doesn't make a lot of sense. Hay's clearly superior with the gloves IMO.
I originally thought he might be an 80% Finn but with a brain, but really his game (and physique) is so much more similar to Seifert. Hopefully with a little more top-level success. Will be interesting to watch them side-by-side this series, particularly against the express bowlers where Seifert can struggle.Robinson is definitely a bit more versatile than Finn, even if he's probably not as talented.
I guess someone thought he should leave.Tim Robinson dropped after a match winning 75* is silly , surely you would want a young player to build on that score than rotate him
He's younger than Henry, believe it or not. Could be handy for a few white-ball tournaments yet.I have a lot of sympathy for Milnes career but at the same time, what are we gaining from persevering with him still
He was in the squad for the first game as cover for the people playing the MLC final, which partially explains it. But he's now been kept in the squad because Philips is injuredTim Robinson dropped after a match winning 75* is silly , surely you would want a young player to build on that score than rotate him
