Uggh with the "Next Cairns" comment. That's now become almost as irritating as the cries of "Next Crowe" that crop up every time a new under 25 batsman scores a hundred.

Waller looking beautiful.

Yep. Lovely part of the country.

Good reply there from Boult. Decent pace, too - 143kph.
There's a fantastic winery on top of the hill in town. Not my favourite wines of that region but lovely restaurant and beautiful main house up there. And there's all that art deco architecture in the city.

Cape Kidnappers the most spectacular golf course I've ever player ftr.

So, sirisorly people- have we reached a point where we're not really concerned that our national side picks a batsman with 5 years experience and a high score of 40

T20 lower order strikers need HS of 100 clearly. That is the prerequisite of being able to slog in the last couple overs.

Who, Dougeh? Not sure why a bowling allrounder is the next Cairns.
Ian Smith couldn't help himself. Asked Shane Bond about his batting for some reason, and Bond replied that Doug would only get better, to which Smith immediately replied "So are we talking Cairns good here?"

Moron.

He is not a lower order striker though. He hardly bowls and he shouldn't bowl at all with his record. Specialist bat who might have the odd trundle.

Have to admit Watling's kept very tidily today. Proving me wrong so far.

It's 20/20 so I suspect no one cares.

Wouldn't be a tour thread without some TH outrage though. Making up for your disappointing show is de Kock's thread. Kudos. (Y)

twenty twenty though. so meh
Yep, pretty much my thoughts. Don't really respect the format enough to care.

Happy with the ODI side, although a little surprised at the speed of Latham's rise to this level. Thought he was a year or two away.

Ian Smith on Dougeh in Australia "Will be a better batsman than bowler."

Dougeh proceeds to have a bad run with the bat and the ball...is history.

Sauces say he had dinner with Griegy afterwards.
