Torn; I don't want to sit through a bad Aus batting effort, but I also don't want this to be one-sided enough to provoke more whinging about how South Africa didn't deserve to play this.
Rabada aside, the rest need to prove this because at the moment they're justifying those claims.

Who’s been saying that btw? It sounds a very England and Wales or Indian thing to say

Considering these two teams' bowling lineups compared to their brittle batting, maybe they should have made the pitch a tad flatter and drier.

Also, I can’t recall a time where there’s been two absolutely gun and all-time level quicks at the same time who are both outwardly such good blokes as Bumrah and Cummins. You’d be hard pressed to dislike either of them

Not to jinx him early, but I think this opening opportunity is good for Marnus. Thought he looked a bit better yesterday before those quick wickets & he reverted a bit more to how he's been for ages.

I think he looks a fair bit more still at the crease which he needs to be, instead of being a try hard Steve smith with the faux quirky movements and mannerisms, as opposed to Smith’s, which are genuinely spectrum related.

His back leg is still coming around when he plays on off stump though, which squares him up a lot and makes him prone to nicking off. If he rectified that he’d be a lot more secure around off stump and I think he wouldn’t play at as many wide ones.

Realistically, if he doesn’t make runs here he will need a big start to the Shield season, because they’ll be looking hard at any openers who make runs early on.
