WI have opted to bat deep but you feel like Cornwall probably would have added more value than some of these rookie batsmen.

Going back to the discussion about where this top rates against previous line-ups, wouldn't it be possible to calculate their combined points that are used for rankings and see how that compares?
Not that I have any idea how to do that in a hurry.

Well, I could work out the current score.
Burns (579) + Denly (550) + Sibley (471) + Crawley (288) = 1,888

Whereas the total score when we played that first test in NZ in 1978 was
Boycott (726) + Randall (482) + Miller (232) + Rose (127) = 1,567

So it's official.
