It was a good fightback by Parnell and Steyn but man India's death bowling is awful. I can't see us winning the World Cup with this rabble of an attack.

haha, that was one of the worst bowling performances that I have seen. Mix that with lethargic fielding and a lack of common-sense and that becomes a deadly combination

Good to see SA push Ind, who acted as if they won the game long before the game was over. Dhoni had Raina bowling (which probably got those guys in to rhythm) when he should have been looking to finish off the game

That`s one thing abt sub-continent captains, no matter what the situation, they rotate the bowlers as if the game is going to go till the 50th over. A new batsmen at the crease is not an opportunity to get one more wkt but an opportunity to sneak in a few overs from the part-timers. And that`s because they start off wrongly by selecting a team full of part-timers

We had one part-timer ret.

I agree with you though that Dhoni should have gone for the kill when Kallis was out. He tried to bowl Sreesanth into form and give him confidence by getting tailend wickets. Instead Sree got his ass kicked.

I would say we just got complacent after Kallis got out. Jadeja was awesome he was the guy who won us the match.

Sreesanth and Nehra are the part-time bowlers.

I consider Jadeja as the 5th bowler. Jadeja doing well and developing as a bowler doesn't mean we use him as one of the 4 bowlers and open the all-rounders position again. His development should have been seen the strengthening of Ind's 5th bowler. We should have had Ashwin or Mishy playing.

We need to stick with 4 bowlers (specialists) + 1 bowling all-rounder combination. One must realize that not all of the 4 specialists are going to do well on the day so we need to have enough options

For the next ODI:

- Tendulkar
- Sehwag
- Karthik (or YP batting at 5)
- Kohli
- Raina
- Dhoni
- Jadeja
- Mishy / Aswin
- PK
- Nehra
- Tyagi

You know if we can't get quality bowlers I think we should be looking to strengthen the batting. Bring Irfan Pathan back. Perhaps Nehra is a marginally better bowler but the difference in Irfan's batting and fielding is surely much greater.

And?????????

3 WCs in a row

2 CTs in a row

No.1 in the world for 10 years or more

The rest is is irrelevant
India got complacent after Kallis got out. This has happened before with better teams and will happen again too. Till the 43rd over India was pretty good.
