Could we have a Request-a-Morale thread, to stop cluttering up this thread :)

what about if you want to know your morale you ask your captain and he can ask Liam as one of the 5 people he can ask for, to make it easier for Liam too :)

10 runs off my last over? TEN RUNS! Bah! I`m suffering in the shorter form of the game so far, which ain`t good when I`m meant to be a strike-bowler. I can`t even bowl a maiden. So it`s so good when I have fellow pacemen in Adz, Travis and Sean to get 10 wickets. Awesome effort boys, incredible.

And then great batting from (sorry Andrew) Liam, De Silva (the one-day king), Sean (backing-up) and Ben. Superb team effort, just sorry I can`t add to it!

Sorry, hak, we meant to have a long batting line up but at the moment, everytime i hold a cricket bat, it seems to be slipping out from my hands, and everything starts becoming unplayable. My batting has really gone down, so yeah, but hopefully, something wll happen to change mine and the teams fortunes.

I'm kicking myself too. At Yorkshire I averaged something like 40 in one-day cricket...I dunno why I can't do it here.

Pfft... a glance at the standard of County Cricket and that of CW Cricket should be enough to tell you. England who?

Cricket Web Blue vs Cricket Web Green
at the PDV Dome

All the hard work done by the Blue middle order came to nothing, when the tail proceeded to play ridiculous shots in throwing away what should have been an easy win. The last 6 wickets fell for 50 runs, and the last 4 for just 17. Nathan Hoy ended with a keen 4-wicket haul, and Wilshere was stranded on an unbeaten half-century.

The Greens batted first and scored a moderate 228/9, capitalizing in the death overs despite some sharp bowling from Nath Patrick. Garven at the top of the order was the only man (or woman) to pass fifty, and Halsey took 3 to disturb the middle order.

Chasing, Blue slumped to 52/2, before DeSilva and Fuller set the chase on path with a partnership of 77. Both scored fifties, and 42 runs were later required off the last 60 balls with 6 wickets in hand. A series of irresponsible swats later, and the equation was 15 off 24 with just 3 wickets in hand. Clinical block-hole bowling then did the trick, as the two well-matched teams posed another tight finish.

CW Green 228/9 (50 overs)
CW Blue 225/9 (50 overs)

CW Green won by 3 runs
Man of the Match: AJ Garven

Cricket Web Black vs Cricket Web Colts
at the SCG

Callum Thompson was at his allround best, in guiding Black home to a good win over the Colts. Opening the batting, Thompson scored a brisk half-century. He then proceeded to take 4 Colts wickets, as they slumped from 112/1 to 227/9, chasing 257 for victory.

The Blacks were inserted in damp conditions at the SCG. A strong top and middle order showing faced the threat of being undermined at the end of the innings, but Kearsley's crisp striking and placement ensured a competitive total - 256/6.

Once more, Towns and Mamesh started well. With 80 wicketless runs on the board, Pickup saw it fit to lift his team. The Black skipper had Towns stumped and took 2 further wickets, opening the gate for Thompson to work his way through the middle order. The run rate required rose and the wickets fell - the Colts lost the last 5 wickets for 32 runs.

CW Black 256/6 (50 overs)
CW Colts 238/9 (50 overs)

CW Black won by 18 runs
Man of the Match: CP Thompson

Very, very disappointing. We bowled wonderfully, the batting was solid and we should have cruised home. Even after we lost a few and only needed 15 in four overs, that shouldn't be too difficult.

Gah, totally gutted that the quiet different side I named wasn't able to be used. Oh well, chins up, let's just look to next game.

On a sidenote, the opening partnerships between Mamesh and I in OD's... I think we average over 100 at the moment. Something like 104.25 if my memory is really, really good. :p

disapointing loss, but blue need to stay positive our FC form is good but one day is lacking a bit, probably one batsman short with Pete and I pretty much FC specialists these days...

Frustrating loss, particularly since I contributed nothing at all. I was bound to have a bad game sooner or later, but frustrating that it has hapened now. Good performance though from all of the other bowlers, and most of the top order. 11 wides is a bit worrying, and probably made the difference in the end. No major problems really, just need to tighten up our performance a bit.

So close, Wilshere was great after De SIlva and Fuller set it up with the bat, but the lower order (including myself) just couldn't support him.

Wahey, a victory. Good knocks from the top order, nice to see Kears finding form at last and then great to make the critical breakthroughs with the ball, before seeing Callum account for the tail to pick up a deserved match award.

Now if only we could compete in 5 days...

YAYAY! We did good in the bowling department!
Hopefully we'll find form in the 5Ds and move up in the table.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BLACKS!!!

As Jamee said, it's fairly obvious. The simming stats for Tests are different to those for the Dev League.
Ah. That'd explain it.

Out of curiosity then, what simming stats do you give to a Test player making his debut? Decrease his FC simming batting average by 5? Increase the bowling one by 5?
