Yup - he's 100% reverse swinging it, something I've sworn he isn't capable of and I've never seen him be able to manage before. If you look at his seam position it's setup for his usual inwards towards the right hander, he's getting them to dart away late.

Either Bond's worked miracles or the boys have a bottle cap out there and are paying homage to Chris Pringle.

No. I think the very short distance between ball hitting ground and foot means not enough of a post-bounce path for tracker to be accurate.

IIRC Martin Crowe believes that ball tracker should only be used up to the point of impact. Until now I didn't quite realise his point

This is the first innings we've looked after the ball properly. Southee was reversing it in the 15th.

I'm just waiting for someone to be caught on camera tampering the ball with a bottle cap. I'd also like to see Anderson given a bowl because he generally extracts swing too.

It goes wonky when the impact is that close to where the ball pitches. Simple science tbh. I'm just surprised this hasn't happened more often. It's a pretty big flaw.

I don't think the general public cares anymore tbh. A bit of scratching here and there is perfectly fine.
