That's the template imo. So many uncertain gaps in this team. Southee bowling well in odis for the first time in years is a start.

Isn't that a bit light on bowling? Especially if 7 is a batsman .

Oram is one of my favourite players of all time. Would still go with cairns though. Oram bowling also not that affective outside NZ. Also he batted too low in odis mostly. It just made him a bash odi player when he was actually one of our better test batsmen vs quality bowling.

Wow I almost forgot twose! Yeah he would be a good pick too, I think I love styris more lol.

I always thought he was very good in tight situations. I think he pulled some very unlikely victories for NZ as well.

All this talk about taking out Guptill and Taylor’s best WC performances but Glenn Tuner gets a free pass for scoring 170 vs East Africa.

I’d probably still have Turner just over Astle but Astle played many more quality knocks over a much longer career.
