I don't rate Wasim at all, but I don't understand how they thought they could get away with four bowlers of this pace. But when you look at how they've managed Shaheen's injury the selections are a minor error.

Australian fans deserve better than a team bereft of bowling talent. We need two tiers of cricket with India, Australia and England playing tests against each other and the rest playing tests among themselves. Boxing Day should not be wrecked by sub-standard teams like Pakistan and Sri Lanka who thankfully don't play here much. Even South Africa who used to be competitive on our shores struggle now.
How are they 6th and 7th choice when they've been picked in top 3 bowlers in the XI
