Just ruined all the good feelings from Ajaz’s 10-fer. Good stuff.

I have my doubts about Kane. One of the biggest matches and he couldn’t just take some injections? Weak as ****.

This is a bit of an early warning to NZ about the state of batting stocks. Without Kane and Conway this was always going to be a grim proposition.

This is where I'd like to have seen Phillips tried in the middle order and given a license, even for a CBA 38 off 35. Need at least 1 middle order batsman to risk counter-attacking in this situation. Just trying to block with men around the bat seems a forlorn exercise.

Definitely not pretty, but most batting sides would be struggling on this wicket against these Indian spinners.

Disappointing losing wickets to the pacers though. Don't think Young did a lot wrong, just got a good-in.

Pity Blundell is trapped down the other end against Axar, he’s probably the best equipped bat in the team for the pacers on this surface.

God, this has become a game for weird dismissals or almost-dismissals. Don't often see an LBW when the ball clipped the pad and went comfortably through to the keeper.

He’s not new to test cricket of course but this is a pretty unforgiving tour as first assignment as permanent keeper.

Hope he finds some ways to score. For someone touted as a ‘busy’ player, must be frustrating having to block all the time.

Not pleasant for Gill, but the batsman needs to try & make the close fielders hop in this situation.
