We have no business even getting close to drawing this. Would prefer we get bowled out today.

Absolutely insipid display.

jesus he was literally toying with the bowling. reason he hasn't played that shot in a while is a respect issue... and he's got none for this attack

James Brayshaw has to be under instructions to play the cheer leader when commentating and it shows how out of touch the producers are as they obviously think that we want to hear this ****

Yeah we were pretty competitive at the Gabba in 2008. At least in comparison to this anyway.
This is probably the most one-sided match I've ever seen.
Don't be dispirited. We scored 300 odd in our dig which is respectable (ignoring the fact that it was one man's doing)

This bullying of our bowlers in the 3rd inning was always going to happen once Australia went in there looking for quick runs.

The other thing to think about is that our players are just not used to this pitch, while they know it like the back of their hands.

This pitch is essentially a type of road that becomes difficult to bat on against 140kms+ pace.

No this is really really horrible. We're being slaughtered and arguably our best bowler is injured. This is pretty much as bad as it gets.

It's undoubtedly the worst bowling performance of the southee-boult era. Even when we were getting battered in the uae the bowlers were at least maintaining a decent line and length. I'm trying to think of a worse bowling performance in the last 10 years but it's tough going.

That's pretty much all Australian pitches though. Relentless accuracy a worthwhile alternative if you don't have the pace, which we don't apart from occasional bursts.

We must have a much better plan and much better delivery when we play in Perth.

It wasn't a road. There was swing, there has been swing available with the new ball, and bits of reverse at times.

There's pace and carry.

I am not fussed by it. I was under no delusions they would put us to the sword in this inning. If we had've posted 550 first dig and the roles were reversed then we would be smacking them about right now. Scoreboard situation fills the batsman with confidence etc.

I was surprised by Khawaja getting 170 odd and them caning us in the 1st dig though.
