Lonsdale probably still has back injury?

Tim Johnston definitely worth investing in. Hope he is 14th for canty or drafted by one of the others. Not many finger spinners around the traps at the moment.
A few promising spinners in the U19s based on very brief glimpse in kippax's videos.
Agree on Johnston
But it is difficult to see an opening for him elsewhere

Auckland: B Martin/Singh
ND: J Boult/Sodhi
Well: Woodcock/Patel
CD: Nethula & Lots of Seamers
Otago: Beard/Craig
Cant: Astle/ Hira

Disappointing to see Auckland go for another bits a pieces LO alrounder like Grobbelaar

Quite happy with the CD contracts, though I'm disappointed Raval has gone home.

Johnston should really look at moving.

Matt Quinn to induce rage from Auckland fans.

Will post more dribble as I think of it.

Yeah Quinn, Ferguson, Grobbelaar and Friday making our massive city's first 13, meek from Auckland tbh. A pity Small will never have the McClenaghan spirit to be an Aucklander. A fully fit Small based on Perham's pitches would be really ideal.

Is there any more recent updates on how Verma is looking? Quite interested in his development. Probably important that he adds a yard or two of pace, but I like that whippy action.

Nothing wrong with them having a go with Ferguson and Friday tbf. Ferguson may be a back injury waiting to happen but he's got some nice raw tools to work with and Friday was getting good reviews from outside of Wellington as well as inside. Quinn and Grobbelaar are a meh though. But tbf Grobbelaar's specialist 125kph yorkers were very useful for Auckland last year in the HRV cup.

Corey showing a few similarities to H Rud in that vid, with the obvious exception that he actually likes to play the hook.

Ferguson just too raw for me, lock him in to average 50+ imo. I worked hard on the editing in this one for sure -

Hakaraia missed out on first 13, has quite a few people to battle it out with for the last spot, he might be better off going to ND to full that void in the middle order, especially as it is likely that Munros involvment in with NZ will be quite limited imo

thanks for that. Good for Flynn.

Glancing through the player list for ND - Sodhi will be hoping for bigger things this year. Unfortunately my old coach said they (spinners) don't come into their prime until 28. think success for him will be getting a season average under 42.

There's a name from the past, Marc Calkin. If he came back he'd get Smithy and McMillan more excited on a Friday night that some of Flem's top 6.
