This is the kind of thing that we will miss when they reduce the number of teams. I, for one, think the tournament will be lessened in their absence.
We won't miss games like Kenya vs New Zealand and Sri Lanka vs Canada though. One semblance of a contest after five games is hardly a talking point.

The gap between the top associates (ie, Ireland and Netherlands) and the Test nations has come down - against the top sides you can't just turn up and expect to win - you'll get a nasty shock otherwise.

England bowled and fielded like spastics and are now chasing 293 to win. That the ICC is considering ignoring teams like Ireland and the Netherlands for the next tournament is a ****ing disgrace.

The gap may have come down, but it is still a massive gap. Netherlands basically caught England at their absolute worst here, yet it looks like England will win this one fairly comfortably (if the start is anything to go by).

I don't really have an issue with minnows playing in the World Cup, actually. It's the length of the tournament that needs looking into - fifty plus days is way too much. If they manage to shorten the length of the tournament whilst still keeping all the minnows (by playing more matches per day, say), it won't be a problem at all.

That is easy enough, make them play 2 games a day in the group stage. You can stagger the day well enough all over the world with day/nighters so you don't miss too much of the first half of the 2nd game on tv and with multi channels and some early finishes you can watch nearly all of it anyway.

A month for the group stage is a farce this time round, it will drag on too long and all bar the real cricket enthusiast will lose interest long before the end.

England don't be ****ing spoilsports.

At least make this close.

India, Pakistan, Australia and South Africa have lost memorable matches to Bangladesh, Ireland and Zimbabwe. Why can't you do it tonight vs. Netherlands?

We've started well but there's still a lot of overs to bat and a lot of runs to get. Regardless of who the opposition are, you're not going to score 293 to win without batting well.

FFS, it's England we talking about.. They themselves are a friggin minnow when it comes to ODI cricket.. Compare to the likes of Aus, SA, Ind, SL and figure out where England stand.. Eng Suck in ODI's is a known fact.

Stop bowling on their pads. Get smashed outside off fair enough, but that's just annoying.
