SRH have this in the bag by the looks of it. Personally I think they’d be stronger with Bairstow at four instead of Williamson. Bairstow is a better fielder also.

Williamson now out. Don’t see why anyone would pick KW over JB in any batting position in t20 and JB gun fielder

I think Williamson is a steadier player and more adept in the middle order in T20s then Bairstow. I also think with their top 3 what they need is that steady hand to avoid collapses rather than another hard-hitting batsman.

Holder dismantling any hopes of a meltdown. I like Saini but on sluggish pitches the question has to be asked if he's the best option. I'm not saying he's an awful selection or shouldn't be selected but its worth considering - his extra pace basically is an asset for the batsman when they are gagging for pace on the ball to try and time one or two of their shots. An argument Dube may have been a better option to strengthen the batting and then trust the five specialist bowlers with Dube as an emergency option.

Holder might have cost us the IPL - if we could have dragged that out a bit could have finished above KXIP on NRR if we narrowly lost and they narrowly won - now we are just behind KXIP on NRR it means lose and we are out if KXIP and SRH win their final games.

For a rare occasion cheering on CSK tomorrow

Whatever it takes!!!
I actually think the original top 4 will end up going through, but it is just gonna happen through the most convoluted route possible, lol.

CSK might beat KXIP today - will result in both of them stuck on 12 points.
KKR can beat RR today too - will put KKR on 14 and RR will also finish on 12.
MI should beat SRH later on- will put SRH out at 12 too and MI will go 20.
DC Vs RCB will become a play off for the #2 slot.

Will finish the league stage with a team on 20, another on 16, 2 on 14 and 4 on 12.

This game is going just like the first game of the season did for CSK. The classic middle overs squeeze after a struggle in the powerplay. Expect same with the bat too, tbh. CSK is perhaps the only T20 side I have seen that consistently loses powerplays and yet wins those games. Too bad it all went pear shaped in between.

Still need a #4 and a good opener as I am still not convinced by Ritu.

All teams except MI have been intermittently peaking and plunging all season long. At the moment, SRH and RR are just about peaking (CSK too lol), but K11 might have reached their ceiling a little too soon.

I really feel SRH will go through. Their domestic bowlers have figured out these slow pitches, Holder has given them a new dimension, and Saha's promotion has come off. Replace KW with Bairstow and they're golden.

Going by that theory, DC should also miss the bus then. MI, RCB, RR, SRH seems to be your call?

Well, these will make me look very foolish soon enough, but I'll give it a stab. I back DC to get the better of RCB because they have the better bowling. Reasonable to expect RR to beat a struggling KKR tonight too, which means it comes down to the margins of RR and RCB's respective wins and defeats. My playoff lineup is MI, DC, SRH, RR.

Chris Gayle obvs the most over-rated thing in t20 history. Yes when he gets going after his slow starts he's great, but if he gets out like today, kills all momentum, a bat shouldn't help you win the odd game, but be instrumental in losing them too. Even his 99 last match was easily usurped by world-class players scoring quick from the off.

Reason why his teams don't actually win much, yes I am continuing my Chris Gayle is **** at T20 campaign, which has been on hold for a bit.

I hate how Rahul puts his hands up when the batsman at the other end is on song. That attitude's well and good in longer formats, but you always need to provision for a sudden wicket arresting all momentum in a T20 game. What makes it worse is that he's so obviously capable of stroking the ball around at will.

Varun Aaron seriously does not have a clue where he's landing the ball. Two of the faster bowlers India's produced, Umesh and Aaron, both dumbasses.

Ffs, that is phenomenal boundary work by Stokes.

The annoying thing is, he is usually in good hitting nick when he puts those brakes on too. Its one thing to bat in partnership when you are not going well yourself, or when you are chasing and you know what your target is, but when batting first, you always gotta attempt to keep the momentum going in T20 cricket.

If KKR win today, they will qualify for playoffs.

If they lose, they will finish 8th on the table ??

This 2020 IPL is just something else.

Ben Stokes has no business bowling in t20 let alone at the death. That Russell wicket was big but still looking a decent total now.
