Man, that's a total buzz kill. Two of these series will now have been played without one side's best batsman.

Ishant and Kohli are ****ing massive blows. Quite lame that only one side would have been full strength for two series in a row.

I have a feeling that India will get absolutely battered this series without Kohli. Especially because they have like two or three batsmen capable of holding a bat outside of India. If this was a series in India they'd have barely noticed that he wasn't playing.

Maybe Sport boards should get involved in family planning and make sure players don't have kids during important series

Monster blow. Hate to see it, it's gonna feel far more hollow beating them if their best bat is missing.

So there goes yet another chance of seeing the contest everyone wanted. First time it was CA being absolute cretins, now it is Virat completely failing at family planning.

We are likely never going to see a full strength Aus V Ind series with this current generation of players. Terrible

2017 was great. Shame really, could've had 2-3 more series that good.

That series will end up being the biggest black mark in his career imo. Even moreso than the horror show in England because of how he was coming off the back of scoring mountains of runs and was playing a big series at home where for the first time in half a decade, an opposition was finally putting up a fight.

Nah. No series against Australia will be a black mark against him as he's just done too much against them in the past. Doesn't resonate that way.
