Setanta is on the Austar sports package, don't know if Foxtel get the Setanta channel.(mostly Setanta is soccer and rugby).

Mumbai Indians have a major development at hand- Tendulkar stepped down as skipper to hand over the reins to Harbhajan. While the repeated 'Tendulkar-cannot-lead-a-team' nonsense is likely to turn up again, let's not forget Harbhajan was terrible when he led the team, and the highlight of the time was losing his entire fee and his place in the squad after he slapped Sreesanth. He did win the CLT20 in 2011, but we know the dubious circumstances under which they operated in that league- other teams did well with home-grown talent, but Mumbai (like any other so-called Indian team) hinged desperately on internationals- and begged for a fifth. He seems to play a lot better in the IPL, but how the team performs will be watched.

Richard Levi or Aiden Blizzard? It's a tight one, and though form favours Levi, Blizzard has played in the IPL before and is no slouch in T20s. Though Levi has played fewer games, he's got a better strike rate, more sixes, and more importantly, more fifties and the hundred.

Fitting in Mitchell Johnson will be tough, unless they take a tough decision of dropping Kieron Pollard altogether. Pollard has been very poor with the bat when he played for Mumbai Indians and his bowling isn't much to write home about. But if they ease him out, they will ease out one of their top buys- which, apparently, is an issue for IPL franchises.

I think instead of pollard, franklin will make way for johnson. Pollard is in great form so dropping him would be not a good idea

Nice game to start with, MI vs CSK. Here's for a Sachin century and a CSK win. I think this year would see better crowds and better viewership after the disappointing international year.

Damn it was Setanta Asia, rang austar today, their mistake,so no coverage for ipl,it will be cricinfo then.
Damn shame no ipl over 30 Aussies involved, from my count 33 Aussies.

Is it easy to find the link to the games on youtube? Do you have to enter IPL in the search engine or is there a link or what. How many hours until the first game starts? Cheers in advance.

No idea tbh. Was hoping maybe someone who watched the opening ceremony could fill us in.
I saw it for sometime.
The bollywood actresses were asking the CSK players to dance with them.
While Ashwin and Bollinger danced for sometime, Bravo and others were too shy to dance.

Was surprised to see Bravo so shy. Always thought the West Indians were game for a dance in public when the situation demanded.
