Can't find my post earlier on how I'm terrified of Moeen. We're lucky they only picked him in the fourth test. Motm along with Curran imo.

Aah man imagine a near 4 day build up in a closely contested test match ending as tamely and anti-climatic as this.

right, goodnight everyone. Good game England. Series had a bit of life in it for a while, but India just not good enough to adapt and take advantage of the opportunities England provided us vis-à-vis poor selections/lack of batting form/dropped catch.

Entertaining yet somehow depressingly predictable.

The one big positive from this innings is Rahane showing good application against good spin bowling.
His technique is pretty good in these kinds of situations. Has a flaky mentality though and get the feeling he goes through patches where he really doubts himself. [/amateur psychology]

Mrs Fertang has no interest in cricket at all, so why does she care whether or not the Indian wicketkeeper's name really is Pant or not?

Moeen has been all over Amla in our last 2 series pinning him LBW playing back like Kohli non dismissal and that Jinx one.

Swann didn't do that.
Yeah the fact that Moeen's quicker, flatter one is a bit quicker and flatter than Swann's version of that delivery means he can afford to bowl slightly shorter on average without leaking runs, and that brings this type of set up and dismissal much more into play against right handers.

Obviously Swann was a much better overall bowler, particularly given what he could do to left-handers, but it's a good example of all bowlers having their different strengths and MOs even when they appear to bowl the same style a similarly orthodox way.

Woo, mini collapse was it? Nothing surprising about that in a fourth innings chase.

Aah man imagine a near 4 day build up in a closely contested test match ending as tamely and anti-climatic as this.
This is the way this kind of chase usually ends. Not with a bang, but with a whimper.

This Indian team is nothing but home bullies.

Remember Kohli saying he wants to win every session.

Lost the ODI series, Lost the Test series.

Joke, considering this team came as the no. 1 test team. No where near to be honest.

Fragile openers.

I really hope Shaw plays above that overrated KL

There's a massive gap between home and away Test cricket nowadays.

Away team is pretty much out of contention even before the start of the series.
